Monthly Update: Celebrating Milestones & Closing Deals
Here is an excerpt from my latest March monthly newsletter:
As I’m writing this it’s currently 70 degrees and sunny here in DC, and the best part is that it’s not humid! I hope you are enjoying early spring wherever you are reading this from. It's been a whirlwind of activity since my last newsletter, and I'm excited to fill you in on what's been happening in my world.
Since February 16th (my last newsletter), we had a company-wide meeting at the Kennedy Center, which was an incredible setting for a meeting. It was my first all-hands meeting with TTR, and it was wonderful for us all to gather as a team and listen and learn from the best agents in the business.
We celebrated a milestone - Jordyn's 6-month birthday (wow, time really does fly)! We marked the occasion with a heartwarming baby naming ceremony with some family and friends. We also introduced her to the world of solid foods; so far, there hasn’t been a food she hasn’t liked, and hopefully, it stays that way.
Tom and I have closed three more successful transactions. We are so grateful to all of our amazing clients who trust us to guide them through life-changing transactions. We are excited for all of the new memories they will create.
Here are a few things I’ve been enjoying over the last month too...
What I’m Watching: Nexflix sports shows! The two I’ve been enjoying recently because they just released the latest seasons are Break Point and Full Swing. These series offer fascinating insights into the lives of athletes, giving viewers a glimpse into their preparation routines and mindset during competitions.
What I’m Eating: If you're ever in Georgetown, I highly recommend checking out YELLOW, the Levantine cafe by Michelin-starred chef Michael Rafidi. It's a go-to breakfast spot, offering delectable dishes that never disappoint. Just a heads up - arrive early to beat the crowds, although the line tends to move swiftly. It was also featured in the DC episode of Somebody Feed Phil (another great Netflix show).
Book I’m Reading: Rebel Health: A Field Guide to the Patient-Led Revolution in Medical Care written by my friend and client Susannah Fox. Susannah has spent her career helping people navigate health and technology. In her book, she shares stories of patients, survivors, and caregivers and how we can transform the healthcare system from the inside out. It's a compelling read that's reshaping my perspective on healthcare.
Quote: “If you fail on Monday, the only way it’s a failure is if you decide to not progress from that. To me, that’s why failure is not existent. If I fail today, I’m going to learn something from that failure. I’m going to try again." Kobe Bryant
